News tips

We're interested in tips on stories we may not have seen, especially in U.S. politics, federal courts, financial markets, public health, and foreign policy. Documents help. Names of officials, agencies, courts, or filings help. If a story is time-sensitive, say so in the subject line and we'll prioritize it.

We protect tipsters who ask to be off the record. If you want a confidential conversation, say so in your first email and we'll move the exchange off the published address.

Corrections

If we got something wrong — a fact, a name, a number, a date, an attribution — we want to know. Tell us what we published, what you believe is correct, and ideally a source we can verify against. Our corrections policy explains how we handle, label, and date corrections after publication.

Letters to the editor

We welcome letters responding to specific articles. Include the article's URL or headline, your name as you'd like it published, and a city or affiliation if relevant. We may edit letters for length and clarity, and we'll confirm with you before publishing.

For press inquiries about American Courant itself, syndication of our content, or editorial partnerships, use the same address with "Press" or "Syndication" in the subject line.

Advertising

Display advertising on the site is served through Google AdSense, which handles placement and billing. We do not sell ads directly and cannot modify which specific ads appear on which pages. See our editorial-standards page for our policy on the relationship between ads and editorial.
